It is cord for attaching assist hooks to sea lures when jigging for powerful sea fish. Choose it as material for making the hook connection, not as a ready-tied hook assembly.
The core increases the cord's stiffness, reduces tangles and improves hook penetration. These properties matter at the assist-hook connection, where tangles can interfere with the hook during jigging.
The strong braided outer layer is chemically treated to resist UV light and prevent water ingress. This protects the outer layer during exposure to sunlight and water when sea fishing.
The blue cord is supplied in a 4 m length with a stated strength of 250lb (approximately 113.4 kg). These are the cord's specifications for planning your assist-hook connections, not a stated strength for a finished rig.
