The Balzer Shirasu Z-Shad (Zander Shad) is a slim, squid-scented soft bait that rises enticingly at rest — perfect for tempting fussy zander and perch in a wide range of conditions.
The slender body cuts through the water with minimal resistance, mimicking the natural silhouette of small baitfish that zander and perch actively hunt. The compact paddle tail generates a tight, subtle action that kicks in even with the lightest rod movement, keeping the lure working during slow retrieves and pauses.
The floating material means the Z-Shad lifts off the bottom between twitches, hovering enticingly in the strike zone rather than sinking into snags. This buoyancy also makes the lure an excellent choice for finesse presentations on dropshot, Texas, and Carolina rigs, where a bait that rises naturally on a slack leader can trigger strikes when other approaches fail.
