The Balzer Shirasu Hakenlöser Pistolengriff is a pistol-grip hook remover for spinning and sea fishing. Its metal hook at the tip helps release fishing hooks quickly and gently, including treble hooks lodged deep in a fish's throat.
The tool is 23cm long and straightforward to use. The hook at the tip is the working part for releasing deeply seated hooks, making this model suitable for unhooking larger predators such as pike, zander, cod and saithe.
A hook sharpener sits above the remover. It lets you touch up a lure's treble hook when it becomes blunt, combining unhooking and hook-point maintenance in one tool.
