The Balzer Mackerel Paternoster Yellow Reflex is a purpose-built, ready-to-fish rig designed for efficient mackerel fishing from boat, pier, or harbour wall.
Equipped with three size 1 hooks dressed with vivid yellow feathers and beads, this paternoster imitates small baitfish and triggers the predatory instinct of mackerel. The yellow reflex finish enhances visibility in bright, sun-lit surface layers as well as in changing light conditions, making it effective across a wide range of situations.
The 180 cm rig is built on a 0.60 mm main leader for strength in moving water and around active shoals, while the 0.40 mm snoods present the hook dressings with a natural, lifelike movement. This combination keeps the rig fishing effectively whether drifting or fishing at anchor.
