It is intended for herring in saltwater, from the shore, a pier or a boat. The supplier supports vertical fishing and trolling over herring shoals, so use it for these coastal presentations rather than choosing it as a general freshwater rig.
Its micro-system uses fish-skin dressings that reflect light and provide natural movement cues. The supplier particularly highlights cold-water use, making it an option for a natural-looking presentation when herring are feeding cautiously, without guaranteeing bites.
The rig is 130 cm long with two size 6 hooks. The listed diameters are 0.40 mm for the main line and 0.30 mm for the leader. A loop or swivel connection attaches it to the main line, allowing you to use the connection that fits your setup.
The pack contains two ready-to-use herring rigs with fish-skin dressings. You therefore have a second rig available as a replacement or for another session.

The Balzer Edition Sea Hering is a ready-to-use micro rig for herring fishing in saltwater. Its fish-skin dressings reflect light and create natural movement cues, offering a natural-looking presentation when herring are reluctant to feed, particularly in cold water.
Use the rig for vertical herring fishing or trolling over herring shoals. It is intended for coastal waters and bays, with shore, pier and boat use all supported. The micro-system is particularly intended for cold-water fishing, including the colder season when herring move into coastal areas. Herring are the primary target, although other marine predators may be caught incidentally.
The rig measures 130 cm and is specified with two size 6 hooks. The supplier lists line diameters of 0.40 mm for the main line and 0.30 mm for the leader. It can be connected to the main line using a loop or swivel connection, so it can be incorporated into either setup.
Each pack contains two herring rigs. This gives you a second rig for replacement or a later fishing session.
