It is intended for long-distance sbirolino fishing at lakes, large rivers and the coast, targeting large trout, sea trout, pike and zander. Its 3.65 m length, stiff action and strong backbone suit distant presentations and hook-setting at range, rather than short casts in confined spots.
Side openings in the screw reel seat let your finger touch the blank directly. This gives you direct feedback from the rod when watching for subtle bites, particularly with a long length of line out.
The 3.65 m rod separates into three sections and has a transport length of 126 cm. It weighs 313 g, so use the packed length when checking whether it fits your rod bag and available transport space.

The Balzer Diabolo Golden Circle Sbiro 50 is a 3.65 m rod for long-distance sbirolino fishing at lakes, large rivers and the coast. Its stiff action and strong backbone help accelerate the rig and set the hook at range. Intended targets include large trout, sea trout, pike and zander.
Slim Titanium SIC guides provide low-friction line travel for long casts. Side openings in the screw reel seat let you place a finger directly on the blank to feel bites, particularly useful when fishing with a long length of line out. The ergonomic cork handle supports comfortable handling during longer sessions.
The slim blank combines IM-7 carbon fibre with KWX Carbon. Gold-coloured metal threads and a gloss-black lacquered blank give this generation of the Diabolo series its redesigned appearance. The reel seat uses stainless steel, nylon and ABS. Precise section joints maintain a consistent action along the assembled rod.
The three-piece rod weighs 313 g and packs down to 126 cm, so check that length against your rod bag and transport space. Its focus is open water where casting distance matters, rather than confined venues with short casts. The stiff action requires some casting experience, making it better suited to anglers already familiar with sbirolino fishing.
