It is designed for whitefish fishing with a Hegene multi-hook rig in lakes. The fully parabolic blank cushions the pull of several hooked fish, helping protect fine hooklengths while bringing them to the surface.
Yes, a soft push-on tip is included and can be replaced with separately available interchangeable tips. This lets you adapt the rod to different bite strengths or rig weights, but additional tips must be purchased separately.
The supplier recommends small to medium fixed-spool reels in sizes 1000 to 2500 for this 1.80 m rod. Smooth operation and a finely adjustable drag are important for controlled playing of fish on fine hooklengths.
The rod has a stated 2+1 section configuration and a transport length of 96 cm. Choose a rod bag or tube with enough internal length for that dimension rather than its assembled length of 1.80 m.
Rinse the rod with clean water after use, dry it fully and store it in a rod bag or tube. Regularly inspect the SIC guides for cracks or damage, as damaged guides can harm fine line.

The Balzer Diabolo Golden Circle Felchen is a whitefish rod designed for fishing Hegene multi-hook rigs in lakes. Its light IM-7 carbon blank reduces fatigue during prolonged rig control, while the fully parabolic action spreads the load when several whitefish are hooked at once. This cushioning helps protect fine hooklengths as you bring fish to the surface.
This version measures 1.80 m and weighs 97 g. Its slim, ergonomic cork handle supports comfortable handling during longer sessions. Slim Titanium SIC (silicon carbide) guides provide low-friction line guidance for fine rigs. The lacquered stainless steel/nylon ABS reel seat holds the reel securely.
The supplier recommends small to medium fixed-spool reels in sizes 1000 to 2500, with smooth operation and a finely adjustable drag for playing fish on fine hooklengths. The light blank and forgiving action also make the rod manageable for anglers learning to fish a Hegene rig.
A soft push-on tip is included. Separately available interchangeable tips let you adapt the rod to different bite strengths or rig weights. The section configuration is stated as 2+1, with a transport length of 96 cm, which is the dimension to allow for when choosing a rod bag or tube.
Golden Circle is the 12th edition of the Diabolo series, marking its 25th anniversary after the series began in 1999. Carbon Tape and Stardust lacquer give the blank its distinctive finish, complemented by the lacquered reel seat.
Rinse the rod with clean water after use, dry it completely and store it in a rod bag or tube. Check the SIC guides regularly for cracks or damage that could harm the line.
