The Colonel Classic is Balzer's time-tested inline spinner, combining proven blade geometry with modern materials to tempt predatory fish from trout to pike — cast after cast.
Balzer redesigned the rotation arm from scratch, so the brass blade starts spinning under the lightest retrieves. That immediate action generates vibration and flash the moment the lure enters the water, triggering strikes even in sluggish conditions where slower-starting spinners fail.
Both the body and blade are machined from high-quality brass: corrosion-free, shape-retaining, and with the dense weight that enables long, accurate casts. The treble hook is made from Balzer's stainless Tiger Steel Carbon wire, a hook alloy proven in their Norwegian sea-fishing programme, delivering lasting sharpness and reliable hook-sets.
