Its continuously adjustable carbon and stainless steel drag delivers up to 24 kg of braking force with smooth, even line release in tropical heat and below-freezing temperatures. Hardened carbon drag discs are designed for lasting braking performance.
The one-piece body is machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminium, an alloy also used in aircraft construction for its low weight and high load capacity. The sandblasted body provides protection against aggressive saltwater. The gears, screws and springs are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, extending this protection to the internal components. The reel weighs 505 g.
Capacity is 460 m of 0.30 mm line. A 5.4:1 gear ratio and 90 cm retrieve per handle turn provide the stated retrieval performance.
