It is designed for heavy softbaits and hardbaits when targeting big pike and muskie, including swimbaits, large soft shads and jerkbaits. The extended bent handle increases cranking power and the drag reaches 11.3 kg, making this a reel for demanding large-lure fishing rather than a small-lure specialist.
This version is retrieved with the left hand. It has a 6.2:1 gear ratio and retrieves 86 cm per handle turn, so choose it if you want to operate the handle on the left with this retrieve specification.
No, it is not pre-spooled and no spare spool is included. The aluminium spool holds, for example, 270 m of 0.32 mm mono or 350 m of 0.29 mm braid. Select your line separately using the capacity figures for its diameter.
The Infini™ system provides adjustable magnetic and centrifugal braking, allowing spool control to be adapted to the casting situation. A lube port gives easy maintenance access, so adjustment and lubrication access are both built into the reel.

The Abu Garcia REVO4 TORO BEAST is a compact low-profile baitcasting reel designed for large lures and hard-fighting fish. Its extended bent handle increases cranking power, while the Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag System™ combines high drag pressure with smooth operation. It is intended for big pike and muskie fishing with heavy softbaits and hardbaits, including swimbaits, large soft shads and jerkbaits.
The 61 HS LEFT model has a left-hand handle, a 6.2:1 gear ratio and 86 cm of line retrieve per handle turn. The reel size is 60LP and its net weight is 391 g. Instant Anti-Reverse prevents backward handle rotation. The carbon-fibre star drag has a maximum drag of 11.3 kg for fighting powerful fish.
Mono capacity is 270 m at 0.32 mm, 230 m at 0.35 mm or 190 m at 0.38 mm. Braid capacity is 350 m at 0.29 mm, 260 m at 0.36 mm or 185 m at 0.41 mm. These figures let you compare capacity at your chosen line diameter. The reel is not pre-spooled and comes without a spare spool, so line needs to be supplied separately.
The Infini™ brake system combines magnetic and centrifugal braking, giving you adjustable spool control for different casting situations. The aluminium spool uses the Infini II™ design for extended casting performance and high loads. An extended line guide completes the line-handling setup.
The X2-Cräftic™ alloy frame and sideplate provide increased corrosion resistance. Five stainless-steel HPCR™ bearings plus one roller bearing offer increased corrosion protection. Duragear™ heavy duty is designed for greater fighting power and longer gear life, while the DuraClutch design improves engagement and durability. These features support repeated use with heavy lures and strong fish without giving up the compact low-profile format.
The supplier lists freshwater as the water type and also describes use for freshwater and saltwater species. The corrosion-resistant frame and bearings support this broader use. A lube port gives easy access for maintenance.
