It is intended for freshwater predator lure fishing. The supplier lists zander jigging, pike fishing with spoons or wobblers and perch fishing with softbaits, from the bank or a boat. The adjustable 6-pin centrifugal brake lets you adapt casting control when changing lure weights.
The stated capacity is 355 m of 0.29 mm line. With a 6.3:1 gear ratio, the stated retrieve is 77 cm per handle turn. Use the capacity to compare your intended line diameter and the retrieve figure to compare line pickup between reels.
The 6-pin centrifugal brake adjusts casting control to the lure. During the fight, the star drag provides direct drag adjustment, with a stated maximum of 6.8 kg from the Carbon Matrix™ system. These give separate controls for the cast and the fight.

The Abu Garcia C4 Classic is a right-hand baitcasting reel for freshwater predator fishing. Its adjustable 6-pin centrifugal brake lets you adapt casting control to different lure weights. The supplier describes uses from zander jigging to casting spoons and wobblers for pike, as well as fishing softbaits for perch, from the bank or a boat and along current seams.
The centrifugal brake provides adjustable spool control during the cast. A synchronized levelwind distributes line evenly across the spool to support line lay and casting distance. Four stainless-steel ball bearings and one roller bearing provide smooth running during the retrieve.
The compact bent handle offers a comfortable grip during repeated retrieves. The star drag allows direct adjustment while playing a fish, and the Carbon Matrix™ drag system has a stated maximum drag of 6.8 kg. A one-piece reel foot provides a stable mounting point on a baitcasting rod with a standard reel seat.
This right-hand version is size 6600 and weighs 298 g. Its 6.3:1 gear ratio gives a stated retrieve of 77 cm per handle turn, useful when comparing how much line each turn takes up. The stated line capacity is 355 m of 0.29 mm line, so compare that diameter and capacity with the line you intend to use.
Wipe the reel with a slightly damp cloth after use. Check the line guide and bearings regularly and oil the reel lightly at regular intervals to maintain smooth running.
