This freshwater casting rod is designed for live vertical pike fishing with a baitcasting reel. Its fast-taper 30T Carbon blank combines low weight with the power needed to work large lures and fight large pike.
The 1.95 m rod is rated for 30–120 g lures and has Heavy Plus power with Extra Fast action. Its short length suits close vertical lure control. The rod weighs 188 g. Abu Garcia reports that BEAST X rods are on average more than 15% lighter than their predecessors, with improved actions through faster tapers and reduced guide weight. The range underwent long-term testing by professional pike anglers across Europe.
An ergonomic KCS-type reel seat and high-density EVA grips support comfortable handling during repeated lure work. Ten Seaguide® Stainless Steel XOG guides, including the tip, have an anti-tangle design to reduce line tangles. A hook keeper provides a securing point for the hook between fishing spots.
The green rod has a 1+1 section configuration and a transport length of 162 cm, so allow that much space in your rod storage. It is supplied in a cloth bag.
