The Beast 400 Low Profile (LP) baitcasting reel range from Abu Garcia is engineered for anglers who throw heavy lures at pike, zander and catfish. Every detail is built around cranking power, stopping force and long-session durability.
The asymmetric body and X2-Cräftic aluminium frame keep flex out of the picture during hard fights. An oversized brass Duragear Gen III drivetrain transfers cranking power efficiently, while seven HPCR stainless steel bearings plus one roller bearing keep the retrieve smooth turn after turn.
The Power Stack Carbon Matrix drag delivers serious stopping force — up to 14 kg on the high-speed model — controlled by a star drag with an integrated drag clicker. The Drag Release System (DRS) lets you preset the drag and disengage it on demand.
The hybrid Infini Brake System combines magnetic and centrifugal braking, giving fine control over heavy or wind-resistant lures. The GullWing sideplate opens cleanly for quick spool access and tool-free adjustment.
A 105 mm double-bowed aluminium handle with oversized power knobs keeps leverage high and grip secure, even when wet. Both reels in the line are built for left-hand retrieve.
