It is intended for trolling, particularly for salmon, and medium-duty sea boat fishing, including saithe. The synchronised levelwind and power handle support these boat applications, while the specified maximum drag is 2.9 kg, a useful limit to consider when choosing your setup.
The handle is on the right. Its 4.1:1 gearing retrieves 55 cm per turn, so choose it if you prefer right-hand winding and a measured retrieve rather than fast line pickup.
It holds 325 m of 0.40 mm monofilament or 270 m of 0.45 mm braid. It is not pre-spooled and has no spare spool, so choose and load your own line before fishing rather than relying on a supplied second spool.
The multi-disc star drag adjusts resistance when a fish takes line and is rated to 2.9 kg maximum drag. The centrifugal brake controls the spool during casting, so these systems serve different tasks rather than providing two interchangeable drag controls.

This round baitcasting reel is intended for trolling, particularly for salmon, and medium-duty sea fishing from a boat, including saithe. Its synchronised levelwind lays line compactly, while the power handle makes winding straightforward. The right-hand retrieve suits anglers who wind with their right hand.
The 4.1:1 gearing retrieves 55 cm of line per handle turn, giving a measured retrieve rather than a high-speed pickup. The multi-disc star drag offers accessible adjustment during fishing and has a maximum drag of 2.9 kg. Its drag material is synthetic. A centrifugal braking system controls the spool during casting, separate from the drag used when playing a fish.
The size 7000 reel weighs 507 g and has an aluminium spool and four bearings. These specifications help you judge its size and weight for your boat setup. Mono capacity is 325 m of 0.40 mm line, while braid capacity is 270 m of 0.45 mm line. Choose the capacity figure for the line type you intend to use.
The reel is not pre-spooled, so you need to supply and load your own line. No spare spool is included, so a second preloaded spool is not part of the supplied equipment. The finish is black with silver-coloured details.
