It is a round baitcasting reel for freshwater lure fishing at distance, with pike explicitly listed as a target fish. Choose it for a casting setup when distance is important and you prefer a right-hand handle, rather than a fixed-spool reel.
No. It uses centrifugal braking and a free-spinning spool without magnetic braking. The design is intended for long casts, but the angler must be able to control the fast-running spool. The manufacturer's distance claim depends on that skill and is not a guaranteed range.
Both have specified capacities: 200 m of 0.40 mm monofilament or 300 m of 0.30 mm braid. The aluminum spool comes without line, and no spare spool is included. Choose your line type and spool it before the first session.
The handle is on the right. With 5.3:1 gearing, it retrieves 60 cm per handle turn. This is the right-hand version, so check that handle position suits you and use the retrieve figure to compare lure-retrieve pace with other reels.
It has a star drag with a maximum drag of 7 kg, adjusted at the star wheel. This fighting drag is separate from the centrifugal casting brake, so use the star wheel to set line resistance during the fight rather than to control casting spool speed.

This round baitcasting reel is built for freshwater lure fishing at distance, including pike fishing. Its free-spinning spool uses centrifugal braking without a magnetic brake, making it a choice for anglers who can control a fast-running spool during the cast.
The centrifugal system controls spool speed during casting, while the absence of magnetic braking allows the spool to keep spinning freely. Casting technique matters with this design. Abu Garcia describes distances approaching 274 m as possible when the angler can handle the spool speed, not as a guaranteed casting range. Precise line lay supports orderly winding back onto the spool.
The 6500-size reel has its handle on the right. Its 5.3:1 gear ratio retrieves 60 cm of line per handle turn, helping you judge the pace of your lure retrieve. The smoothly working star drag provides up to 7 kg of drag, with adjustment at the star wheel. Instant anti-reverse prevents the handle from turning backwards.
The aluminum spool holds 200 m of 0.40 mm monofilament or 300 m of 0.30 mm braid. These separate capacity figures let you compare line types and diameters for your setup. The reel is not pre-spooled, so you need to add your chosen line before fishing. No spare spool is included.
A chrome frame and chrome-coloured finish define the construction and appearance. The reel weighs 370 g and has 3 bearings, useful specifications when comparing the overall weight and equipment of your casting setup. It is made in Sweden.
