The 7000i LC-MTR AMB7000i LINE COUNTER METER version counts in metres, with the display on the left-hand side plate. Use the reading to repeat the amount of line released without counting handle turns, it is not a direct reading of lure depth.
It is designed for trolling and is suitable for saltwater. The suppliers name pike, salmon and large saithe in Norwegian fjords, with the counter helping you repeat productive presentations from a boat.
This is the right-hand version, weighing 640 g in size 7000i. Choose it if you want to retrieve with your right hand, the left-side counter display does not indicate a left-hand handle.
Neither is included. The aluminium spool is supplied without line, and the stated capacity for both mono and braid is 270 m at 0.45 mm. Select and spool your line before fishing.
The gear ratio is 4.1:1 with a stated retrieve of 68 cm per turn. The carbon star drag has a maximum drag of 9 kg, supporting control during the fight. That figure is not a maximum fish weight.

The Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Linecounter is a saltwater-suitable conventional trolling reel for pike, salmon and large saithe in Norwegian fjords. Its line counter shows how much line is out, helping you return to a productive presentation without counting handle turns. The 7000i LC-MTR AMB7000i LINE COUNTER METER version reads in metres, with the display on the left-hand side plate.
The 4.1:1 gearing provides cranking power for retrieving larger fish, with a stated retrieve of 68 cm per handle turn. A star drag with carbon drag material offers a maximum drag of 9 kg. This is a drag specification, not a maximum fish weight. The bearing arrangement comprises two ball bearings and one Instant Anti-Reverse (IAR) roller bearing, giving three bearings in total. A centrifugal braking system is also fitted.
This is a right-hand-retrieve reel, so choose it if you want to wind with your right hand. The 7000i size weighs 640 g and has an aluminium spool. The supplier lists both mono and braid capacities as 270 m at 0.45 mm, a useful reference when selecting line to fill the spool.
The reel has a black finish with silver-coloured details. It is supplied without pre-spooled line or a spare spool, so line must be added before fishing. The metre counter helps repeat the amount of line released, rather than directly measuring the lure's vertical depth.
