No. The external dimensions match the Ambassadeur 6000, but the spool diameter increases from 39 mm to 43 mm. You get greater line capacity without moving to a larger reel body.
The 7000C size holds 260 m of 0.38 mm monofilament or 360 m of 0.36 mm braid. The aluminum spool is supplied without line and no spare spool is included, so plan to spool it with your chosen line before fishing.
The handle is on the right. Its 5.1:1 gear ratio retrieves 69 cm per handle turn, so choose this version if you prefer right-hand retrieval and want to compare its line pickup with your current reel.
A centrifugal braking system controls spool rotation during casting. The Carbon Matrix drag handles line release under load, with a maximum rating of 6.8 kg. These serve different roles. The casting brake controls the spool while the drag limits resistance when a fish pulls line.

The Swedish-made Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000 Compact is a round baitcasting reel for freshwater predator fishing. It has the same external dimensions as the Ambassadeur 6000 but offers greater line capacity. Increasing the spool diameter from 39 mm to 43 mm provides that extra capacity without enlarging the reel body.
The 7000C size holds 260 m of 0.38 mm monofilament or 360 m of 0.36 mm braid. These ratings let you compare capacity for your chosen line type and diameter. The aluminum spool is not pre-spooled, so you need to supply your own line. No spare spool is included.
The handle is on the right, making this the version for anglers who retrieve with their right hand. The red reel weighs 375 g, a useful figure when matching it to your rod.
Super Brass gears drive the retrieve at a 5.1:1 gear ratio, taking in 69 cm of line per handle turn. Four bearings support the mechanism. Instant Anti-Reverse prevents backward handle rotation, while the centrifugal braking system controls spool rotation during casting.
The Carbon Matrix drag system controls line release under load and has a maximum drag of 6.8 kg. This is the reel's maximum drag rating, not a recommended setting for every line or setup.
