Move the handle backwards to release line. This lets you send your bait out quickly when trolling or fishing from the boat, rather than needing to cast it.
The handle is on the right. With a 4.1:1 gear ratio, the stated line recovery is 56 cm per turn. Choose this version if you want right-hand winding and use that recovery figure to judge line pickup when moving your bait.
Neither line nor a spare spool is included. Capacity is 270 m of 0.45 mm monofilament or 575 m of 0.30 mm braid. Choose your line type and diameter using the corresponding capacity reference, then spool the reel before use.

The Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000i Syncro is a right-hand conventional trolling reel for salmon trolling and traditional boat sea fishing for cod. Its Syncro function lets you release line by moving the handle backwards, helping you let your bait out quickly without a casting motion.
This size 7000 reel has a right-hand handle and weighs 608 g. Check that right-hand winding suits your setup before choosing it. The 4.1:1 gear ratio gives a stated recovery of 56 cm per handle turn, a useful reference for judging how much line you retrieve while repositioning a bait. Instant Anti-Reverse prevents backward movement during normal winding, while the Syncro function provides the separate handle-operated line-release function.
The star drag uses carbon fiber and has a maximum drag of 8.6 kg. Drag pressure is adjusted at the star, so you can set line resistance for your tackle rather than treating the maximum as the working setting. The reel has two bearings and a centrifugal braking system for spool control.
Monofilament capacity is 270 m at 0.45 mm, while braid capacity is 575 m at 0.30 mm. These are separate capacity references for choosing your line type and diameter. The reel is not pre-spooled, so you need to supply and spool your own line before fishing. No spare spool is included. Supplier information identifies saltwater use and also supports freshwater fishing, covering the stated salmon-trolling and cod boat-fishing applications.
