It is designed for heavy softbaits and hardbaits targeting large pike and muskie, including swimbaits, large shads and jerkbaits. Its high-capacity spool and powerful carbon drag suit this heavy-lure role, rather than a small, light-lure setup.
The handle is on the left. With its 6.2:1 gear ratio, the 61 HS retrieves 86 cm per handle turn, so choose it if you want to crank with your left hand and need this retrieval rate for your lure presentation.
The Infini magnetic/centrifugal brake provides extensive casting adjustment. Separately, the Power Stack Carbon Matrix star drag supplies up to 11.3 kg of smooth drag pressure, giving you casting control and fighting resistance through distinct systems.
No, the reel comes without line or a spare spool. Mono capacity is 270 m/0.32 mm, 230 m/0.35 mm or 190 m/0.38 mm, while braid capacity is 350 m/0.29 mm, 260 m/0.36 mm or 185 m/0.41 mm. Select and load your line before use.
The X2-Cräftic alloy frame and sideplate and HPCR bearings provide increased corrosion protection. Duragear gearing is designed for longer gear life, and DuraClutch improves engagement and durability. A lube port makes maintenance access easier, so the reel can be serviced through the provided access point.

The Abu Garcia Revo Toro Beast is a compact, low-profile baitcasting reel for heavy lure fishing and hard-fighting predators. It is designed for large pike and muskie with heavy softbaits and hardbaits, including swimbaits, large shads and jerkbaits. Its Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag System™ combines high drag pressure with smooth line release, while the extended bent handle provides extra cranking power under load.
The Infini™ magnetic/centrifugal brake system offers extensive adjustment for different casting situations. The Infini II™ spool design supports casting performance and heavy loads, and the aluminium spool is paired with an extended line guide. Instant Anti-Reverse prevents backward handle rotation.
The X2-Cräftic™ alloy frame and sideplate provide corrosion resistance. Five stainless steel HPCR™ bearings plus one roller bearing add corrosion protection. Duragear™ heavy-duty gearing increases fighting power and gear life, while the DuraClutch design improves engagement and durability. A lube port gives easy access for maintenance.
The 61 HS has a left-hand retrieve, a 6.2:1 gear ratio and 86 cm of line recovery per handle turn. It weighs 391 g and is listed as size 60LP. The carbon-fibre star drag delivers a maximum of 11.3 kg. These specifications identify a reel intended for substantial lures and powerful fish rather than a small, light-lure setup.
Mono capacity is 270 m at 0.32 mm, 230 m at 0.35 mm or 190 m at 0.38 mm. Braid capacity is 350 m at 0.29 mm, 260 m at 0.36 mm or 185 m at 0.41 mm, allowing you to compare capacity at your chosen diameter. The reel is supplied without line and without a spare spool, so line must be selected and loaded before fishing.
