30g Front Zone Weight black dull 2 pcs Ø 1,5mm
incl. VAT, excl.
The Front Zone Weight is a coated catfish lead designed for freestyle and buoy rigs. Fixed directly to your leader approximately 10 cm above the bait, it keeps your offering at the target depth even when strong currents try to lift it. With livebait, the weight limits the baitfish's swimming radius, keeping it in the strike zone and improving your catch rate.
Catfish often hold in current seams and channels where unweighted rigs drift or rise off the bottom. The Front Zone Weight anchors your bait at the desired depth, ensuring it stays in front of feeding fish. The coated finish protects your leader from abrasion and reduces the risk of line damage during the fight.
Live baitfish naturally try to swim away from the rig. By adding the Front Zone Weight above the hook, you restrict their movement to a tighter area around your chosen spot. This focused presentation means catfish find your bait faster and commit more confidently, translating to better hookups.
Select your weight based on current strength, rig type, and bait size. Black Cat offers the Front Zone Weight in several configurations:
20 g (3 pcs, coated, Ø 1.5 mm) — light current, smaller baits, shallow presentations
30 g (2 pcs, coated, Ø 1.5 mm) — moderate current, medium baits, mid-depth rigs
40 g (2 pcs, coated, Ø 1.5 mm) — stronger current, larger baits, deeper zones
60 g (2 pcs, coated, Ø 1.5 mm, freestyle and buoy rigs) — heavy current, big baits, deep water
80 g (1 pc, coated, Ø 1.5 mm, freestyle and buoy rigs) — very strong flow, large livebait, maximum depth control
100 g (1 pc, coated, Ø 1.5 mm, freestyle and buoy rigs) — extreme current, biggest baits, deepest presentations
