The Cat Hooker is Stefan Seuß's answer to the hair rig (a setup where the bait sits on a loop below the hook): an almost round single hook shaped to let live baitfish swim naturally while still hooking cleanly on the take.
The near-circular bend gives baitfish enough room to move freely, which keeps them lively longer and produces more induced takes. When the catfish turns with the bait, the round geometry rolls the point into the corner of the jaw.
Stefan spent a long time tuning the wire diameter. The result is strong enough to handle seriously heavy Wels catfish, yet slim enough to stay inconspicuous on the rig. Each hook weighs around 2.5 g.
The fully welded eye accepts monofilament leaders as well as braided hooklinks, so the same hook works on buoy rigs, underwater float rigs, anchored leaders and combi-rigs.
The dark DG finish keeps the hook low-visibility in the water and adds a layer of corrosion resistance for longer freshwater sessions.
