The Savage Gear Cutbait Herring 25cm brings lifelike herring presentation to the depths where monster halibut and cod hunt. Engineered with Scandinavian big-fish guides, this 460g soft lure combines realistic swimming action with battle-tested Japanese forged hooks to handle the most powerful saltwater adversaries.
Modelled on the Atlantic herring—the primary forage for Northern European saltwater giants—this cutbait delivers authentic swimming action on both the drop and retrieve. The under-skin painting technique creates three-dimensional realism that predators recognise instantly, even in deep or murky water. The paddle-tail design generates natural vibration and movement from 10m down to 100m.
Customised 10/0 big-fish bend hooks are forged from Japanese carbon steel to deliver superior penetration and holding power when you connect with trophy-class fish. The single-hook configuration provides excellent hooking ability while reducing snagging on rocky bottom structures where big halibut and cod hold.
