The Savage Gear Exorus spinning reel series delivers smooth performance and robust construction for freshwater predator anglers targeting perch, zander, and pike.
Built with a K-Alloy body and GRC (Glass Reinforced Composite) rotor, the Exorus withstands intense use during hard-fighting drills. The rigid construction reduces flex under load, providing consistent gear alignment and reliable power transfer.
Each Exorus reel features a 6+1 sealed stainless steel ball bearing system. The sealed design keeps contaminants out, while Dura Grease and Dura Oil lubrication ensures smooth operation of both gears and drag across extended sessions.
The Friction Control System 3 V2 uses carbon drag washers with hydro-sealed construction. This provides consistent, finely adjustable drag pressure whether fighting a feisty perch or a powerful pike. The sealed design maintains performance even in wet conditions.
A tapered spool lip reduces friction during the cast, increasing casting distance while minimising the risk of wind knots. This is especially helpful when fishing in windy conditions or when long casts are required to reach distant spots.
All Exorus reels feature a one-piece handle for improved rigidity and direct power transfer. Handle knobs vary by size: rubberised paddle knobs on the 1000 and C2000, rubberised T-handles on the 2500 through 4000 sizes, and a rubberised power knob on the C5000HG for extra leverage.
The Exorus range covers sizes 1000 to C5000, with standard (5.2:1) and high-gear (HG, 6.2:1) ratio options. Weights range from 210g to 345g, and line retrieval from 63cm to 103cm per crank. This selection covers everything from finesse perch jigging to casting heavy lures for pike.
