Two neoprene rod bands (Rutenbänder) that hold the tip and butt sections of a two-piece trout rod together whenever you break it down for the car, holdall, or backpack. Slide them on, pull snug, and the blank stays put.
Trout anglers who travel with two-piece spin, bolognese, or telescopic rods and want a simple, padded way to stop the sections rattling, scratching, or working loose inside a rod bag.
The sleeves are 90% neoprene with 10% nylon. The neoprene cushions slim trout blanks without marking the finish, while the nylon content keeps the band's shape stable over repeated use. Each band is printed with the Troutwerk logo on a matte black sleeve.
Two sizes are included, 14cm and 21cm, so one band sits around the tip guides and the other around the grip and butt. Spreading the clamping force along the blank keeps the two rod sections firmly aligned for the drive to the water.
Bring the two rod sections together with the guides aligned, slide the 14cm band over the tip area and the 21cm band around the handle. The stretchy neoprene does the rest. Peel both bands off at the swim before extending the rod.
