The Salmo Minnow is designed primarily for trout and perch, but it also works well for other predatory freshwater species. Its realistic minnow imitation triggers strikes from a wide range of predators.
The 5 cm (3 g) is best for small streams and ultralight tackle with a diving depth of 0.5–1.0 m. The 6 cm (4 g) is a versatile all-rounder at the same depth range. The 7 cm (6 g) dives to 1.0–1.5 m and works well in slightly deeper or wider water. Choose based on the water depth and the size of prey fish in your area.
The Minnow responds well to a straight retrieve for a consistent wobble, or try small twitches and the stop-and-go method for an erratic, panicked minnow action. It can be fished both upstream and downstream in flowing water.
HDSF stands for High-Density Space-Aged Foam. This material gives the floating models a realistic buoyancy that closely mimics a natural baitfish, while also providing excellent durability against strikes and impacts with rocks or structure.
The Freshwater Minnow pattern is designed for freshwater fishing. While the build quality is robust, the hooks and hardware are optimised for freshwater conditions. Rinse thoroughly after any contact with saltwater.

The Salmo Minnow mimics a fleeing or wounded minnow with a subtle, natural swimming action. It works with all common spin-fishing retrieves — steady retrieve, stop-and-go, or twitching — and can be fished both upstream and downstream in rivers.
The Freshwater Minnow colour is available in three floating sizes:
