Built to Flex-Free Standards

A one-piece aluminium frame eliminates the frame flex that can throw off gear alignment and rob cranking efficiency. Paired with a 34 mm double anodised, machined aluminium spool that is braid-ready straight out of the box, this reel handles heavy mono and braid with equal confidence. Line capacity sits at 150 m / 0.33 mm mono or 150 m of 50 lb braid, giving you room to load up for deep presentations or heavy cover work.

Speed Gears and a Smooth 11-Bearing System

Lew's Speed Gears® — cut on precision Hamai CNC machines — are matched with the P2 Super Pinion® bearing-supported pinion gear for a cranking feel that stays smooth cast after cast. The 10+1 stainless steel double-shielded bearing system (10 ball bearings plus one roller bearing) delivers both ultra-smooth retrieval and enhanced corrosion resistance. At an 8.3:1 gear ratio with 88.9 cm of line recovered per turn, this reel is optimised for burning reaction baits or keeping pace with fast-moving fish. A built-in flipping switch gives you instant thumb-controlled lure placement when fishing vertically — flipping, pitching or drop-shotting around structure. Reel weight is a manageable 227 g, and the 95 mm aluminium handle arm adds leverage for working bigger lures.
