The Salmo Hornet is a compact, fast-action crankbait built to fool pike, perch, zander, and trout across rivers and still waters alike. Small in size, big on fish-catching ability.

Versatile Action in Current and Stillwater

The Hornet performs equally well upstream or downstream. Work it slowly against the current or retrieve quickly with the flow — short pauses near likely holding spots regularly trigger strikes. In stillwater it can be cast or trolled, and brief rod-tip accelerations during trolling often produce extra bites. The action transmits clearly through the rod, keeping you in constant contact with the lure.

Polycarbonate Build with Sharp VMC Hooks

The body and diving lip are moulded from polycarbonate for durability and precise diving behaviour. Two VMC Black Nickel treble hooks come fitted as standard, offering reliable hook-up rates on fast, slashing strikes from predatory fish. Light terminal tackle — small snap swivels and thin lines — is recommended to let the lure work freely and maximise its swimming action.
