AVENTA AB-5000

The Okuma Aventa AB-5000 combines a smooth 6+1 bearing system with an on/off auto-trip bait feeding mechanism, delivering dependable free-spool function for carp and specimen fishing at an accessible price point.
The on/off auto-trip bait feeding system lets fish take line freely without resistance, while the Quick Set anti-reverse roller bearing ensures instant hook-setting power when you engage the handle. The 6+1 bearing drive system (6 stainless steel ball bearings plus 1 roller bearing) provides smooth retrieval under load, and the precision machine-cut brass pinion gear maintains reliable performance season after season.
Built with a corrosion-resistant graphite body and machined aluminum spool, the AB-5000 stands up to demanding conditions. The slow oscillation gearing system lays line evenly across the spool for improved casting distance, while the LCS (Line Control Spool) design enhances line management. A spare aluminum spool, one-touch handle with wood knob, and metal line clip come standard.
The Aventa Baitfeeder series offers multiple sizes for different fishing situations:
AB-5000 (current model) – 235 m / 0.35 mm capacity, 527 g, 12 kg max drag, 68.6 cm retrieve, 4.8:1 ratio – medium carp fishing, general specimen fishing, balanced setups for 12–13 ft rods
