Developed in collaboration with trout specialist Michael Kahlstadt, the FTM Teletrout-X (Telescopic Trout X) is a purpose-built rod for trout lake fishing — optimised for trolling and float fishing at short to medium distances.
The revised blank at the heart of this rod is noticeably quicker in action and lighter in hand than previous generations. At 139g, it reduces fatigue during long sessions, while the responsive tip relays even the subtlest takes — essential when fishing with delicate float or lightweight lure rigs.
The telescopic design collapses to just 105.5cm, making it easy to carry to the water's edge or pack for a day trip. Extending and collapsing the rod takes only seconds, which suits anglers who move between pegs or fish multiple spots in a session. The 2–15g casting weight range covers the light trout lures, spoons, and small floats commonly used on managed trout lakes.
