Fox developed the FX9 specifically for carp angling, rather than modifying an existing saltwater design. The result is a reel where every detail — from the extremely slow oscillation to the micro-fine line lay — serves the demands of long-session carp fishing. The Mesh-Tech gear system and balanced rotor ensure smooth, consistent operation cast after cast.

Control and Confidence at Every Stage

A sealed front drag with Quick Drag functionality gives you rapid, precise braking when it counts. The anti-backlash system and rotor line guard protect your line during the retrieve, while the Pro Cast spool lip and two distance clips (one black, one silver) help you hit your mark at range. Five stainless steel ball bearings plus one roller bearing keep everything running smoothly, even under load.
