Designed specifically for catfish (Wels catfish) fishing, the Black Cat Bissanzeiger is a wireless electronic bite alarm that detects both classic runs and drop-back bites — keeping you in control at the rod.

Dual Bite Detection for Every Catfish Behaviour

Wels catfish behave very differently depending on their size. Smaller fish often hit hard and fast, causing a sharp rod tip knock, while larger specimens tend to bend the rod slowly and deliberately. The Black Cat Bissanzeiger responds to both: it picks up rapid vibration strikes as well as sustained, progressive rod flex. A dedicated Drop Back function adds another layer of coverage — when a fish swims toward you, slackening the line, the alarm emits a continuous tone for approximately 10 seconds so you never miss a reversal bite.

Fully Adjustable Sound and Sensitivity

Three front-facing buttons let you dial in exactly the response you need. Sensitivity is adjustable in 4 steps, pitch across 7 levels, and volume in 6 steps — so you can fine-tune for wind, distance from the rods, or personal preference. A mute mode keeps the session quiet when needed, and a low-battery warning alerts you before power runs out mid-session. The alarm is powered by 2 × AAA batteries (not included).
