The Savage Gear LT Zerling is a long, slender Line Thru (LT) spoon made from super light zinc alloy, designed to imitate a sandeel and provoke aggressive strikes from sea trout along the coast.
The LT Zerling features Savage Gear's proven Line Thru system, where the line runs freely through the lure body. This means that after a fish takes the bait, it only feels the weight of the line and hook rather than the full lure, resulting in fewer lost fish during the fight.
The knife blade shape closely mimics a sandeel profile. On spin stops, the lure immediately starts rotating away from the retrieve line in a full 360-degree motion, triggering hard reaction strikes. This erratic action sets the LT Zerling apart from conventional spoons.
Thanks to its compact, dense zinc alloy body, the LT Zerling achieves excellent casting distances even in headwinds — a key advantage when fishing from the shore for sea trout.
The LT Zerling is available in three sizes: 9 cm / 12 g, 9.8 cm / 16 g, and 10.6 cm / 20 g. Each size is fitted with SGY treble hooks (size #8, #6, and #5, respectively) and comes with oval split rings and a mix of beads. The sinking action covers a swimming depth from the surface down to about 1 m, making it ideal for shallow coastal waters.
A wide range of colours is available, including natural tones like Raw, Copper, and Green Silver, as well as high-visibility patterns such as Motor Oil UV, Pink Pearl, and Black Red. This lets you match conditions from clear water to overcast skies.
