Sonik's shift to C6 carbon construction makes the XTRACTOR+ noticeably lighter and snappier than its predecessor. At 250g for a 9 ft (2.74m) spod rod rated at 4.50lb test curve, it handles heavy spods and stick mixes with authority while reducing arm fatigue over a long baiting session. The raw carbon finish is tough and gives you a clear look at the blank's layered construction.

Purpose-Built Fittings Designed for Spodding

The 40mm butt ring channels heavy braid cleanly, while the anti-frap ceramic tip guide prevents line tangle on the cast — both essential features when you're clipping up and casting repeatedly to a spot. A matt black DPS reel seat keeps your reel locked firm under load, and the VARI-TAPER™ joint system ensures a reliable, consistent connection between sections. The slim shrink-rubber handle with a subtle flared butt gives a secure grip without bulk. Two rod bands and a black-anodised end cap with laser-engraved "S" logo are included.
