The Madcat UV Series Cat-Stick 300 is a no-nonsense 3.00 m catfish rod designed for heavy lure work with casting weights between 150 and 300 g — and it glows under UV light to keep you organised at night.

Virtually Indestructible Construction

Where most catfish rods ask for careful handling, the Cat-Stick 300 invites abuse. The blank is built from fibreglass, giving it the flex and impact resistance needed when battling large wels catfish in heavy current. Eleven Aluminum Oxide SeaGuide® guides are fitted without a shock ring, keeping the build simple and the weight manageable at 720 g. The aluminium reel seat and EVA handle and butt complete a setup that is assembled for sustained punishment.

Parabolic Action for Buoy and Subfloat Fishing

The rod's parabolic (through) action distributes the load across the entire blank, which is exactly what buoy and subfloat fishing demands when a large catfish surges and changes direction.
