Balzer's 71°North programme was developed with input from dedicated Norway specialists who know that no shortcut survives northern waters. The rubber mackerel (Gummi Makk) and flasher combination mimics natural prey movement, attracting cod and a wide range of other sea species even in strong tidal currents.
The rig arrives pre-assembled on a 0.90 mm diameter line at 120 cm length, fitted with a size 6/0 hook plus an additional hook (1+1 configuration). There is nothing to tie and nothing to adjust — simply connect and drop. The heavy monofilament traces the kind of abrasion resistance needed when fishing rocky or rough-ground marks.
