Balzer 71 Grad North Power Pilk, 2,15m 100-275g Pilkrute
Built for demanding conditions off the Norwegian coast and beyond, the Balzer 71 Grad North Power Pilk rod combines a stiff, high-modulus blank with quality fittings to handle heavy pirk (jigging lure) work from boats and piers in saltwater.
The blank is constructed from High Modulus IM-12 carbon fibre, delivering a powerful, responsive action that transmits bottom contact and strikes clearly while driving heavy pirks through strong currents. The material keeps weight low at 195 g despite the rod's robust casting range of 100–275 g.
Titanium SIC (Silicon Carbide) ring guides are underwound for added stability and resist the corrosive effects of saltwater over long sessions. The FUJI reel seat and split Duplon handle are specifically designed for use with fixed-spool (spinning) reels, giving a secure, comfortable grip even when hands are wet or cold.
This rod is currently available in one configuration. Check back for additional length or casting-weight options if your target species or fishing style demands a different setup.
