The smaller sizes (12 cm and 14 cm) are well suited for sea bass and lighter coastal fishing. The larger sizes (17.5 cm and 18 cm) are better for targeting cod and halibut in deeper water or stronger currents where a heavier lure is needed.
The Pro Peg system uses a holder built into the jig head and the soft body. You insert a toothpick through the holder to pin the body securely to the head. This creates a firm connection that prevents the body from sliding down the hook during casting and retrieving.
Yes, the glass rattle is removable. You can take it out for a quieter presentation in clear water or when fish are particularly cautious, and reinsert it when you want the added acoustic attraction.
In murky or low-visibility conditions, high-contrast colours like Lemon Back and Pink Pearl Silver tend to stand out better. White Pearl Silver can also be effective. In clearer water, more natural tones like Green Silver and Khaki are often preferred.
The 12 cm model uses a 3/0 hook, the 14 cm model a 4/0 hook, the 15.5 cm model a 5/0 hook, and both the 17.5 cm and 18 cm models use a 6/0 hook. All hooks are forged carbon steel with a tin finish.
